JECSE Heads Conference Programme


Audience

Heads of Jesuit Schools of the European Jesuit provinces and regions. The Heads of Jesuit schools in Europe meet every three years. This conference is organised by the Jesuit European Committee for Primary and Secondary Education (JECSE). This conference takes the place of the first of two annual meetings of the Heads of Jesuit schools in the UK.

Arrivals and Departures
The conference begins at 6.00pm on Tuesday 27th February 2018.
The conference ends at 2.00pm promptly on Friday 2nd March.

Venue and travel

The nearest airport is Bilbao (BIO).
Final details have yet to be confirmed, but the JECSE Heads' Conference usually begins at 6.00pm on the Tuesday and ends with lunch at 1.00pm on Friday.
A shuttle bus service is usually arranged to and from the airport. It takes about an hour to get from the airport to Loyola so you should aim to arrive at the aiport before 4.00pm. And to get a return flight after 4.00pm.
There will be two buses from the airport to Loyola: one leaving at 1.00pm and the other at 5.15pm; someone will be there with a card marked 'JECSE'.

Accommodation
Accommodation is in single ensuite rooms.
Please bring toiletries.

Dietary or access requirements
If you have special access or dietary requirements (including vegetarian diet) please let us know as soon as possible. Please note that the venue does not provide vegetarian options as standard - we have to ask for them to be prepared.

Dress Code
Informal.
Loyola is quite high up and so warm clothes are recommended.
There will be the opportunity to for a retreat-walk and the terrain suggests it would be wise to bring comfortable sturdy shoes for this.

Cost
The costs of the conference are met by your school.
